<reviewbody>A surprising good film. It is more of a drama than an action western, but there are some pretty action scenes as well. There are some interesting characters and a fairly complex plot, for this genre, that is not difficult to follow. Some of the acting is a bit stiff and there is a lack of character development, but all in all, worth the time. If Hollywood still made westerns, it would be worth a remake with modern techniques.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>How did this one make it into the public domain??? This 1940's Western is both well written and well acted. With action and an interesting plot from beginning to end, it flows smoothly and engages the viewer. Stars Preston Foster, Richard Dix, and the lovely Frances Gifford. Also starring as the bad guy is Leo Carrillo, who went on to play Pancho, the sidekick of Duncan Renaldo, in The Cisco Kid series during the early 1950's. Recommended as enjoyable entertainment.</reviewbody>
